Before you order
The questions most people ask before placing their first test.
How is the test collected?
A small finger-prick onto a dried blood spot card included in the kit. Two minutes, no needle, no nurse. Full step-by-step instructions are inside the box.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No — our tests are direct-to-consumer. Many customers share their results with a GP, midwife, or naturopath afterwards (the report is formatted like a pathology report for that exact reason), but no referral is required to order or to receive your result.
What's the difference between the four tests?
Index Basic reports EPA+DHA as your Omega-3 Index. Plus Ratios adds the omega-6 : omega-3 and AA : EPA ratios plus Trans Fat. Complete is the full 24 fatty acid panel — the same depth used in clinical research. Prenatal Omega-3 measures DHA with pregnancy-tuned reference ranges. All four use the same finger-prick kit and the same accredited lab.
Why should I get the 2-pack?
Two reasons. Track your change — omega-3 levels in red blood cells take 8–12 weeks to fully reflect any dietary or supplement change. A baseline + 3-month retest tells you whether what you're doing is actually working. Or share with someone — partner, parent, sibling. Same household, two reports.
Is the kit TGA-registered?
Yes. Our test kit is registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods as a Class IIa Medical Device — ARTG 526367 — manufactured in Australia.
How long until I get my results?
3–5 business days from the day your sample arrives at the lab. We email you the moment your report is ready and you can download it as a PDF.
Is shipping really free?
Yes — free Australia-wide shipping both ways. We post you the kit, and the kit includes a reply-paid envelope to send your sample back to the lab.
How do I get the 10% discount?
Sign up to our newsletter — we'll email you a one-time 10% discount code valid on any single test.
Stop guessing. Know your number.
The whole process takes less time than booking a GP appointment — and tells you exactly where you sit on the omega-3 reference scale.
